A special day for Kosovo, Albania, District 2485 and Rotary International: Rotary Club Garden Prishtina, the newest Rotary club in Kosovo, is now officially chartered. Kosovo now has 22 Rotary clubs and Albania 17; from 1 July 2024 the two countries form District 2485 together, with 39 clubs and 1,150 members.
Special credit for founding the club goes to Uwe Nowitzki and Lule Elezi. Rotary Club Garden Prishtina is sponsored by Rotary Club Peja: Neshad and Neba Albani attended almost every weekly meeting, from the first on 2 November 2022 to the 65th, the day of the charter, on 27 April 2024.
The founding of a new club is inspiring for all Rotarians in Kosovo, Albania and beyond. See the family tree for all the clubs that trace their roots to Peja.
